What our interns say about their time spent at Rödl & Partner

ROSA ALPYSBAI

Department of the internship: Legal Department
Year of the internship: 2020

4th year student at Suleyman Demirel University, Almaty
Subject: International Law

For six months I worked in the legal department of Rödl & Partner as part of a production internship. It was very important for me to complete an internship in the legal department of a foreign company, as this experience is highly valued on the market. The internship in this law firm helped me to find out in which area of law I would like to develop.

From the very first days, the management and staff welcomed me warmly and the collective is very friendly. Colleagues were happy to train me and guide me in the right direction. For me, this was an important indicator of the level of the company. I would also like to mention that during the production traineeship I was provided with good conditions for completing the tasks. In case of difficulties, colleagues were always ready to help and give their recommendations, to support me with advice. For my part, I showed initiative. I tried very hard to complete all tasks on time and, where possible, to solve the tasks independently. Finally, after completing the internship, I was offered a job at the firm and I am now working at Rödl & Partner as a legal assistant.
YELAMAN ALIKHANOV
Department of the internship: Audit
Year of the internship: 2020

Graduate of Kazakh-British Technical University, Almaty
Finance specialist

Even as a university student, I had a clear idea of my future profession. After defending my thesis and officially graduating from university, I was immediately on the lookout for my dream job. This winter, I was lucky enough to do an internship in the audit department of Rödl & Partner. With the first interview, it became clear to me that this company completely met my expectations. Rödl & Partner is one of the leading consulting companies offering its services in more than fifty countries worldwide. The internship at the company was a good starting point for my career as an auditor. At Rödl & Partner, auditors are required to constantly confirm and develop their professionalism. Thanks to the guidance and advice of my more experienced colleagues, I have learned to solve any tasks set to me quickly, effectively and efficiently. Working in this company offers unique experiences that are not available in any other company - these are first and foremost: interdisciplinary and international working principles as well as the experience of close cooperation with globally operating German companies. A strong, consolidated collective, a positive working atmosphere and the striving to achieve set goals - the totality of these factors brings success and makes me and my work better every day.

ANEL AKHMETOVA

Department of the internship: BPO
Year of the internship: 2020

Student of the 4th year of study at the University "Turan", Almaty
Accounting and Auditing

I chose Rödl & Partner for an internship in the Business Process Outsourcing Department to acquire professional skills and to deepen the knowledge of accounting I acquired at university. From the very beginning, I was assigned various tasks, including those that were outside my professional competences. This helped me to expand my knowledge of accounting. For example, I underwent training on how to prepare and keep primary documentation. I received competent practical advice on my questions from colleagues, including the head of department and the chief accountant. I would like to mention that in the company everyone is treated with respect, there is always a friendly atmosphere in the team. The whole time of the internship I was supervised by an internship supervisor, he controlled the keeping of the diary and the report writing.

I successfully passed the internship and now work as a full-time accounting assistant at Rödl & Partner. Thank you for this opportunity. I think an internship at Rödl & Partner is a good chance for graduates to gain extensive experience in outsourcing accounting processes and to become part of an excellent team.
